Hard to believe it that it has been almost exactly one year since I started hosting the dance at the abandoned golf course in West Marin (now we are at San Rafael High School). Sundays have been going strong for quite some time, but Wednesdays took a hiatus during Omicron and winter, but recently started back up... We're kick-starting Wednesdays with a super SPECIAL night with guest DJ Dragonfly!!! And we will have BOTH indoor and outdoor dancing (weather permitting)! Many of you know Dragonfly from the Groove Garden days. He was instrumental in fostering a thriving dance scene in Marin and the greater Bay Area and has been such an integral part of the conscious dance scene for decades now! I am thrilled and honored that he is playing for us! This event will be limited capacity and there will likely not be tickets available at the door, so definitely buy in advance! We are limiting the event to 200 people. The indoor space holds 70 and has a beautiful sprung wood floor. The outdoor space is in the lot just outside the studio, which will be blocked off and have space for 150+. - We will have an AWESOME sound system set up inside and outside as well as rugs, 500 sq ft of puzzle mat flooring and decorative lighting outside. - We will have several food vendors selling yummy, organic food! - Lisa Harnett will be selling awesome organic cotton & bamboo men's and women's clothing! ...and Dragonfly is gonna make you shake your booty SO hard!!! *There is no vaccination requirement to dance indoors at this event, however, it is suggested that if you are unvaccinated, you continue to wear a mask while indoors.
