Ground Zero - Floorwork Intensive

GROUND ZERO - Floorwork Intensive in Jan end 2021 This 5 day intensive from 25th Jan to 29th Jan introduces you to basics of floorwork movement embodying the floor into oneself to ease in & out of the floor making the floor/ground an extension of your body instead of a separate entity. Slowly once we organicly embody the movement with authenticity in the first two or three days we shall try with various other excercises to take the movement to next level. Challenging the body to move at differerent levels with simplicity on slightly higher tempo but still maintaining the finesse & softness in body. By the end of the Intensive your body will become much more aware, smarter & confident in every aspect of movement. We hope to help you find a flow in your movement. The idea of this Intensive is to share, learn & understand through various tips, tricks & techniques, how to fall in love with the floor helping you to avoid major injuries in your regular daily life & also helping your body to fly off the floor when the fear of falling is gone. This workshop is designed for everyone from any walk of life & not just for dancers or people with athletic abilities. We incorporate various Improvisational methods of movement, experimental movement practices, simple phrases, across the floor, mind body centering, axis syllabus, parkour, etc thus working on both your hemispheres in the brain. Everyone is welcome to Play, Explore or Challenge their own possibilities of movement in a beautiful large space just on the beach with the lovely sounds of the waves & winds. Date: 25th to 29th Jan, 2021. Timing: 10-1pm & 3-6pm. Total 6 hours/day. Location : Blue Pyramid, Opp. To Surf Wala, Arambol, Goa. FEE: Suggested Donation is a sliding scale between 5000 – 8000 (Lunch & evening Tea & snacks included).
