Groundwork Afro-Cuban Weekender

We are putting Afro Cuban Dancing in Colorado Springs! WHO IS THIS FOR??? - Anyone training Latin style dances such as: Salsa (On1 & On2), Bachata, Merengue, Cha Cha Cha, Pachanga, Son, etc - Beginner to Pro Level dancers - Any dancer looking to establish solid fundamentals in their dancing! We focus on the building blocks of Afro-Cuban Movement: - History and breakdown of the Orishas, focusing on the following Orishas: Eleguá or Elegguá or Eshu, Ochosi, Palo, Oshun - The following steps, concepts, and/or rhythms will be covered: Moello or Moyeo (Afro-Cuban Bounce or Base) Weight Transfer Shoulder and Hip Movement Body Movement (Undulations) Chachalokafun The weekend progresses as we build on these fundamentals. With detailed breakdowns and corrections throughout the weekend! Whether you are interested in Afro-Cuban Movement directly or are using it to enhance your Latin Dance technique, it is an amazing weekend to advance your skill set and well-roundedness of Latin Dance Movement. Training Schedule: - Friday Training: 6:30p-8:30p (Beginner/Experienced Beginner) Elegua - Saturday Training: 10:30a-12:30p Ochosi, 1:30p-3:30p Chachalokafun (Intermediate), & 4:00p-6:00p Palo (Ladies Team Semi-Pro/Pro ONLY) - FAVORITO Salsa Bachata Social: 8:00p-1:00a (Not included with pass) - Sunday Training: 12:00p-2:00p Oshun (Advanced) & 3:00p-5:00p Choreography (Ladies Team Semi-Pro/Pro ONLY) Pricing Breakdown 2 Hours: $49 4 Hours: $79 6 Hours: $109 8 Hours: $139 10 Hours: $169 12 Hours: $189 You may purchase your hours in bulk or for the specified weekend. He trained with Yamulee Dance company for 5 years and then headed to Guadalajara, Mexico to train with the Master, Ivan Valdespino! There he spent another 5 years training and studying the Orishas and has been teaching in the U.S. for the past three years!
