Guateque Cubano and Metamovements Special Event! Saturday Nov 1!

Join Us for a Night of Dance & Cultural Celebration — and Help Support Javier Jeffer’s U.S. Artist Residency Extension! Guateque is partnering with Metamovements to bring you a special edition of our November Guateque Cubano Social — and it’s going to be more than just a dance party! This uplifting gathering is in support of Javier Jeffer, an extraordinary dancer, choreographer, musician, and cultural ambassador from Havana, Cuba. The evening begins with a special Rumba Performance Challenge — featuring live percussion — where you'll learn and perform classic Cuban Rumba styles alongside Javier and Anara. Then we roll right into a night of social dancing to the best in Cuban music! Javier is currently in the U.S. on a special artist visa, sharing the soul of Cuba through performances, workshops, classes, and vibrant cultural exchanges. His work builds community and fosters global connection. 100% of the proceeds from this event will go toward helping fund Javier’s residency extension. This kind of solidarity means the world — and we want to honor it by packing the house!
