Melin Levent Yuna and Selim Yuna are among the major first generation tango dancers, instructors and performers in Istanbul in addition to Selim's career in finance and Melin's career in social sciences and in the academy. Having travelled in different parts of the world both for their own tango training and to teach tango, they gathered valuable experiences in this dance, culture and tradition. Highly valuing the traditional form of this dance, they love and attempt to adapt the idea that this dance is very open to creativity, simplicity, complexity, possibilities and constant renewal to certain extents. Melin is also known for authoring the book "Tango and the Dancing Body in Istanbul" from Routledge Publications. Colgadas and volcadas are usually all about exploring off-axis movements—those beautiful moments in Argentine Tango where one or both partners share or suspend balance in a controlled way.
