Guest DJ Martin Ellis at Moonshine Alley

This Wednesday, we’re excited to announce that our guest DJ is none other than Mr Swingland himself, Martin Ellis. Martin knows a thing or two about swing music and dance; he has been dancing, teaching, and performing Lindy Hop and related Swing Era dances since the early 1990s. In 1998, he established Swingland, a leading and well-respected swing dancing school and swing dance and music promoter based in the London area. We’re very pleased to welcome him to Moonshine Alley for the first time. We’re also pleased to welcome back our own captain, Ryan Francois, from a very special trip to St Petersburg. Ryan will be teaching the beginners at 7.30 and intermediates at 8.15, before Martin takes to the decks to dish out two hours of great music for the social dancing, from 9-11pm. Join us at DNA London, right opposite Clapham Junction station, and you’ll find a spacious wooden dance floor, full bar, air conditioning, an atmospheric venue and a mixed, friendly crowd of dancers sharing the space. £12 class & dancing / £10 dancing only / £15 both classes + dancing (concessions available) FREE for non dancers!
