BAE brings you 𝓗𝓪𝓫𝓲𝓫𝓪𝓮 ~ a celebration of women in Middle Eastern music, art and dance ! ✬ ☾☽ With an ode to the traditional banquet-style feasts from the golden days of legendary entertainers like Umm Kulthum, we gather to experience today's most talented female-identifying Arabic artists within an NYC oasis, re-weaving the threads between the East and the West, re-balancing the sound. We remember when the women were the rhythm-keepers, and oud, darbouka, violin, the ney flute and other ancient instruments played by masters of their craft combine with ethereal voices layered on organic oriental electronic rhythms to soundtrack an ecstatic evening.
