Harlem Hot Shots track Herräng- 2015. Mixed Track

BIG NEWS A dream coming true! Harlem Hot Shots will at this years edition of Herräng Dance Camp host our own track! One week with Hot Shots as teachers. Current and past members take you through our way of learning, training and the knowledge we have learned through the years! LEARN & DEVELOP YOUR LINDY HOP BY ALSO PRACTICING SOLO STYLES DURING THE SAME WEEK! During 18 classes/1 week, we will take you through the basic ideas of dancing built on rhythm and improvisation and traditional styles from the 20s-40s. Different Lindy hop styles, rhythmical ideas about how to intergrate jazz and tap in your Lindy Hop. We work together and with a schedule made for the students comfort. All classes are connected and planned to make a full concept out of these 18 classes. JAZZ - Learn more about solo Jazz and develop your jazz dancing in different styles. All for both followers and leaders. Get inspired by learning different ways and ideas from us during this week. TAP - Learn and develop you tap basics. Put a shuffle in to your Lindy hop and solo jazz. Make your dancing swing by adding rhythms in feet, body and lead&follow. You don't have to have experience from Tap before. LINDY- Will be the biggest focus and from where we use examples and also add in all our new knowledge. Learn more underneath: TEACHERS - Some of the now most active members are in charge and will take care of you through this week. Past members and famous dancers such as Frida Segerdahl, Pontus Persson, Mattias Lundmark(maybe more to come) will teach you tap foundations and jazz as pop up teachers while Jenny Deurell, Mimmi Gunnarsson, Gabriella Rosati, Frida Borg, Rikard Ekstrand and Fredrik Dahlberg will help you put it all together by teaching you both jazz styles, charleston and lead you through your Lindy Hop during the week. Impro, rhythm concept, musicality, partnering etc. Social Lindy, choreographed Lindy, Historical styles and techniques. Note that not all the active members have the possibility to be there during this week but the mentioned names above will be there for 1 up to 8 classes. Some classes will be with 5 teachers at once to really make sure we have a good time and feel that we are all on the same boat and develop together. Except from good dancing we would like to invite you also to a weekend of fun, friendship and good times! LEVELS Level will be high but open from intermediate and up to teacher level. If you are intermediate and want to challenge your self to learn more about how it all comes together, this will be fun and challenging. The more experience you have the more you can learn during this packed week. Styling, knowledge, techniques etc. Because Lindy are the main idea in this track the amount of followers and leaders will need to match. We will all have different levels when it comes to dancing, knowledge and we will all have unique styles and together, just as we in the Harlem Hot Shots, we will develop and learn with and from each other, share our love for swing dancing and fun!
