So… judging by the way things are going, we’d better tell some of his stories! Diarmuid was the greatest hunter in the world, though he’d never hunt wild boar. He had a mark on his forehead, a terrible curse that’d make any woman who saw it fall instantly and passionately in love with him. When he was out walking through the forest one night, he came upon an old cottage… Oisín was the greatest poet of the Fiana, but he fell in love with the daughter of the king under the sea, and made one mistake that cost him dearly… There was once a fisherman who wanted to marry a woman more beautiful than any. One night, he rode far out till he came to a strange place, where the water went round in whirlpools and a grey stone jutted out of the sea. There, beneath the full moon, a row of female seals took off their seal skins, and the first seal maiden… Ancient Celtic stories woven together with the three strands of music: geantrai, the music of dancing, goiltrai, the music of weeping, and suantrai, the music of waking dreams.
