𝑯𝑬𝑨𝑹𝑻 𝑷𝑳𝑬𝑿𝑼𝑺 25 day progressive laboratory of Inspiral workshop with Sasha Dodo and Dolores Dewhurst Marks 5 - 30 January 2026 Chiang Dao, Thailand This laboratory is dedicated to Contact Improvisation, a life affirming, transformative practice and cutting edge art form. It offers an inquiry-based experimental learning environment intended to generate inspiration, revelation and innovation beyond Contact Improvisation’s conventionally established identity, function and territory. Inviting those that previously attended Inspiral workshop who see Contact Improvisation as a practice that shapes and reflects their lives, and those who see their dancing as inseparable from their living. Those who are interested in application and embodiment of the principles and approach, inquiring into the essential elements that make CI a transformative practice. Those who are inspired to craft in their work and art, spaces for individual and collective insight, thinking from within the global community. This is an opportunity for us to come together and reflect on how things are being made and organised in our projects, teaching, and art making processes; what we are currently working on and what is on the horizon. To get in touch with one another, to learn and be inspired through asking deeper questions - what do we have and what can we do with what we have right now? In the heart of this laboratory is an ongoing investigation of one’s own and the collective’s creative potential; our ability to radically change the way we relate to each other and perceive the future we deeply desire. The program will include intensive embodiment practices, various formats of self inquiry, collaborative explorations, practicing making improvised dances / performances, witnessing, writing and sharing. The practice will be grounded in being physically, attentionaly, and poetically available. This is a focused and attentive environment for study, practice and research.
