HearthBeat: Soulstice Dawn (An Ecstatic Dance Experience)

Come gather around the hearth, before the close of the year, as we offer our bodies and hearts in dance and celebration for this ONE life we get to live. Join us on the 15th of December to honor the dawning of summer solstice that is upon us. Throughout time, our ancestors who were deeply in tune with the cycles of nature, would gather during this time to offer respect and reverence to the full power of the Sun, it was seen as a time to reflect and give thanks for the lessons learned during the wintry and birthing months- and to call upon the force of the LIGHT to bless this time and forward path of new beginnings. Let us drop into our collective pulse and co-create an evening of ritual, movement, dance, sound and connection- as our ancient/future kin always have and always will, to give thanks for the Sun, all of the life it sustains and the light within each of us. There is no way to do it wrong, simply bring yourself and your pulsing heart. We shall meet you there ❤ ~Phoenix and the Hearthbeat crew We will open the doors to of Dance Art Etc in Nambour, the Sunshine Coast’s newest community hub, at 6pm. We will share in a Blue Lotus Ceremony to drop us into our personal and collective intentions, a shared state of harmony, peace and an opening of our bodies, hearts and minds. Carl Broman will then lead us in an introductory Chi Gong circle to support us in finding our inner balance and flow. Phoenix Onesong will lead us in a Dancing Freedom Journey where we will dance and meet ourselves in whatever form is wishing to be expressed. Lucia Swift will support the completion of our journey and return us home to the earth with her enchanting singing bowls and angelic voice. Dancing Freedom is a somatic, ecstatic and earth wise dance practice that supports the re-emergence of embodied wholeness. By gathering in community we dance an elemental wave, tapping into the fundamental building blocks that we are made of: Earth, Water, Fire, Air and Ether. Together, we co-create a safe space for Y(our) true self to experience full bodied expression. In this movement practice, we dance in ceremony; we give ourselves permission to enter the mythic, to work with our intent and welcome our felt senses to weave a new reality for ourselves and all our relations.All bodies, abilities and backgrounds are welcome. About me: My name is Phoenix, and I firmly believe that each and every one of us has a unique role to play in our evolving culture and in the shifting of the current paradigm. I have committed my life to co-creating spaces and opportunities for people to unite with one another and nature to put their pieces of the puzzle together. I am new to the Sunshine Coast and this is our introduction offering to our community who we are looking forward to diving deeper with. I combine my passion for teaching, embodiment, ceremony, ritual and communing with nature, to play my part in weaving our collective visions into the web that we are each a part of. My purpose is to inspire and empower others to share their gifts. I am here to remind others to stop playing small, encouraging them to share their gifts and to remember that we are all here to work together towards the “more beautiful world our hearts know is possible.” I am a student of life, a teacher, a medicine woman and an embodied leader who unapologetically shares my vision for global synergy and collaboration.
