Hillsborough Dance Series

This is our occasional dance series in my Hillsborough humble abode. This is a small setting with a maximum of 14 students per class. We will be teaching 4 dance series of 6 classes each. Take one or discounts for more than one. Classes are Mondays and Thursdays. Classes start Thursday May 1 and Monday May 5 and run weekly through June 5 and June 9. Course descriptions are elaborated below. Open to all beginning dancers. If we have more experienced dancers interested we may increase the level of difficulty. We will do basic turns, cross body lead, hammerlock, basket, combs. 2) Cajun Two Step and Zydeco - Progressive style two step (circling the room as opposed to jig step) Turns, promenade. Zydeco including turns and cheats 3) Latin Mix - Basic steps for Salsa, Merengue, Bachata, Cumbia, Cha Cha time permitting 4) Contra Style Waltz - This is the style of waltz seen at Contra dances which is a quicker tempo than ballroom waltz.
