Long before she began DJing, she was (and is) a singer, percussionist, and instrumentalist whose honey lush vocals can be felt reverberating through your body with the utmost of care, truth, and love. Her DJ journey was born through her unyielding passion, love, and devotion to the ecstatic dance community on the Big Island of Hawaii. Dancing sometimes 3-4 times a week, often at the birthplace of Ecstatic Dance (Kalani Retreat Center), she became aware of the emotionally cathartic and shamanic potential available through a dance when curated by an intentional DJ. HoneyFroth is a particular flavor and electronic expression of her essence that transmits the depth, grit, sweetness, and multidimensional ecstasy of life. She weaves together dance journeys with her soul-infused vocals in a way that transcends genre and instead operates in the realm of vibe. HoneyFroth’s deepest desire through her sets is to play music that activates the human soul; bringing us more deeply into our hearts and bodies, so we can remember the essential nature of who we truly are. When in doubt, she keeps it sweet like honey, and frothy––because froth makes everything taste better. https://soundcloud.com/ariellebrown Contact Improv: Karl Frost Karl is particularly known for his work in the art of Contact Improvisation, where he has a reputation as a very clear, wide ranging, and richly informative teacher and as a physically articulate master of the practice, comfortable in both the small and subtle explorations and in the wild and explosive. Many students have profoundly evolved their practice of contact improvisation through his workshops, which provide a friendly, yet disciplined and down-to-earth atmosphere of study, growth, and pleasure in life. He is uncompromisingly devoted to the idea that one’s practice of contact should be one that actively promotes physical well-being. His approach to contact improvisation lives both in the realm of art and in that of contact as social practice. Yoga: Shannon Sahaja Shannon Sahaja is a dedicated yogini, dancer, artist and lover of the earth. With 17 years of experience as a movement facilitator, Shannon is devoted to inspiring students to experience their own essence through play, inner strength and nourishment. She is well known for her loving approach to yoga that was developed while living and teaching at Harbin Hot Springs and through her mentorship with Angela Farmer. She brings delight to the space with her unique ability to create safety while spicing things up with humor and spontaneity. www.shannonsahaja.com Opening Circle & Meditation: Shannon Sahaja Two decades of holding space for yoga, meditation, dance, Sunday Ecstatic Dance Oakland Facilitator, and Certified Sophia Circle Journey Faciliator. Shannon offers exquisite meditations while creating impeccable sacred space. Participants often reflect on how incredibly safe they feel in her field. www.ShannonSahaja.com Upstairs Tea Lounge: Tea Lounge: Olivia Marichi (Tea Master Oli) With over two decades of dedicated practice, Oli has cultivated a profound mastery of Chinese tea and the art of tea ceremony. Her journey began with an enduring fascination for the intricate flavors and traditions of tea, studying at the First Club of Chinese Tea Culture in Moscow in 2000. Immersed in the cultural and historical essence of tea, Oli has explored every facet—from sourcing the finest leaves in the lush tea gardens of Fujian to mastering the meditative precision of Gong Fu Cha. The tea collection is provided by the Kokko Wellness, the place where Classical Acupuncture, Moxibustion, Herbal Medicine, Tea, Nutrition, and Bodywork come together in one harmonious space. Visit them at kokkowellness.com Food: Sacred Decadence (Leela Maya) Leela started her journey as a raw vegan dessert chef in 2007 during the early days of Cafe Gratitude where it first began in San Francisco and Marin County. It was working there that she discovered the power of intention, community, & how truly nourishing food felt like sensual kitchen witch craft for her soul. It was love at first bite. Since then she has been a chef and product developer for local healthy food companies like Urban Remedy and Good Earth. She is wholeheartedly happy to serve the Bay Area Dance Community in nourishing connection from within. When she is not playing with her food, Leela teaches Play based Authentic Relating & Connection Classes, Full & New Moon Circles for Womyn+, & Cacao Ceremony Soundbaths. She believes that love, joy, connection, and play are key ingredients to a healthy happy life. Blessed Be and Bon Appétit! Tea Service: Kokko Wellness & Oli Marichi We drink and serve a lot of good tea! It's a complimentary service that we give to our community. We collect the best green, white, wulong, non-caffeinated herbal and especially aged pu-erh (fermented) tea that we can find. For more information on what we carry, please check our Tea & Qi page, social media and "Store" pages. Tea has a whole range of benefits for the mind/body and is still considered the elixir of youth and vitality in the east. We study the Qi of tea, along with everything else that goes into it.
