HopSpot Live Fidgety Feetwarmers with beginners competition!

Join us on February 6 for a very special HopSpot Live featuring the Fidgety Feetwarmers! This HopSpot Live has a drop-in workshop as usual and our very first beginner Mix & Match competition! More details below. We hope to see many of you participate and join the fun. Location: Zalencentrum Zuid, Utrecht Programm: 20:00 - 20:45 - Beginner Lindy Hop drop-in class 20:45 - 21:15 - DJ set 1 21:15 - 22:00 - band set 1 22:00 - 22:45 - competition / dj set 22:45 - 23:30 - band set 2 23:30 - 00:00 - DJ set 3 See you all there! Price: 15 euros for the entire evening, including the workshop. Payment is at the door through a QR code. If you cannot pay in this way, contact us before through FB, insta or [email protected] About the band: The Fidgety Feetwarmers are a group of young and talented swing musicians from Amsterdam with only one mission: to get everyone dancing their hearts out! Band leader and trumpeter/singer Coos Zwagerman (known from Gumbo Night, Roaring Cats, Swellingtons Splendid Six, Bernard Berkhout, among others) has tamed a few young players, fresh from the conservatory, into a smooth, swinging ensemble and translated their youthful energy into packed dance floors. Line-up: Coos Zwagerman - trumpet & vocals Oscar Ployart - piano (from the Roaring Cats) Ties Laarakker - bass (from North Sea Dreammakers) Daniel van Dalen - drums (from Fuse and Jazz-Deco) --------------- What is a Mix&Match competition? In a Mix&Match competition you are social dancing with other contestants whom you’re paired with randomly. You’ll be paired with one partner and dance with them to a chorus of the song. We will have somebody present at the event to explain more when this happens and to count you in. Who can join? A beginner M&M is specifically aimed at introducing ‘beginner’ dancers to Mix& Match. For the purpose of this competition we specify a beginner dancer as somebody that has danced a maximum of 1.5 years in that role. However, that is an indication and we trust that you make your own judgement to whether this competition is aimed at you. If you are uncertain please do reach out to us! We aim to make it fun, with low pressure.
