How to Dance Salsa! 101 Course for Beginners by Michael Whitmire

I'm very excited to announce that Michael Whitmire from Salsa Grande will be our guest instructor for this Special Salsa 101 Bootcamp for beginners on Sunday Apr 8th Michael has been an influential figure in the Salsa community. A lawyer by day and dancer by night, he has helped promote Salsa all around Houston and Texas and beyond! His students and him have been featured in many news channels, fund-raising events, health and fun dancing events. He has been on the dance scene for over 15 years and aside from being a great teacher, he has been an awesome friend and supporter! Let's welcome him this Sunday Apr 8th. He will cover the essentials of Salsa dancing. Cuban flavor body movement, common turns, and beautiful sexy dance figures. You do not need to know anything about dance to take this course. Couples, singles, welcome. This course lasts 3 hours. Please arrive on time. We are giving all the students an extra $5 to $8 discount so you get to be part of this class! Michael will cover basic steps, right turns, cross body leads, outside turns, inside turns, wraps, and other fun figures for the clubs. Each move will be broken down and you will get a good amount of practice. We will serve water to all the guests. Attire: Casual to dressy. Wear something comfortable. Dress shoes with leather sole for men are best. Low heel and flats for ladies are best. Tennis shoes and sandals are not recommended. You can come alone or with friends, it’s a welcoming atmosphere.
