The Zouk Lounge - Part 2

Are we crazy!? Probably! Firstly thank you all so so much for making the first Zouk Lounge such an amazing experience. We had absolutely no idea how it would work, or even if it would work (did you notice?!). It was a completely new concept for us as event organisers and also for lots of the teachers. It really felt like a proper congress vibe, with so many people connecting with others and learning from new teachers which they've never been able to physically travel to. We really want your feedback - we are 100% transparent and honest, and know there are always things to be improved. So please let us know your thoughts and ideas (via the feedback form that will be sent to all 320 attendees who came to the first event) We already have so many new and creative ideas to make this event even more special. Are you ready for what's new?! - DJ Brixx; Our resident DJ to keep the party going in between lessons, and getting the mood perfect throughout the competitions! - We're going to add an 'ultimate pro's dance off tournament'; a winner takes all knockout competition for professionals only (want more info.. you'll just have to come along!) - We will Zoom in some LIVE shows for your entertainment - We're opening a 'Let's Talk Zouk' room, where your favourite artist will be available for special Q&A sessions (like our podcast) - We previously only had 87 artists... but this time Pedrinho thought.. Let's have have 100! haha! Get ready for the line up.. its literally insane. - We're also adding some different dance styles for you all to learn. - There will now be a dedicated 'Music' room in partnership with I Heart Zouk Radio, offering a constant place for people to dance, socialise, listen and hang out. - Every artist will also be pre-recording their classes in HD, so all recordings afterwards will be beautiful! - Of course we're bringing back the auctions! We raised $5500 for the teachers who participated! (thanks Elijah & Efosa :-o) - The nerds room was over subscribed so that's definitely coming back! - Lots of fun crazy comps, games, lip sync battles and dumb stuff - Lots more support for lots more rising stars - An updated 'Danceplace' platform (thanks Darius!), that is currently being improved to make your experience smoother and easier. - There are going to be some special live shows in our new entertainment room. We saw how special the Zouk community was at the previous event; coming together through such hard times. The love, the passion, the generosity, the open mindedness and the pure joy that we saw brought tears to our eyes and filled our hearts with happiness.
