Energizing way to start your Sunday: morning blend of Qigong Infused Yoga warm up with Lynne Smith, live music: drums & percussions flowing into ecstatic dance with DJ Luminus & Journey Weaver. 10am Arrival 10:10 Opening circle 10:15 Qigong Infused Yoga warm up with Lynne Smith 10:30 DJ'd Ecstatic Dance w/ DJ Luminus & DJ Journey Weaver 12:15 Closing circle We welcome all ages... along with dancing there's a Kids corner with activities and an altar for introspection. Parents please supervise children at all times. The hall is wheelchair accessible but rest rooms are up a short set of stairs. We consider the dance floor to be a sacred uplifted space and request conversation be taken outside to honor dance and respect those engaged in the journey. I-Opener Dance Western Mass is in collaboration with Dance Spirit. ~ LOCATION ~ Florence Community Center 140 Pine Street Florence MA 01062 ❖ Ample parking available in the lot behind the building. You can find us by walking in the side doors and up the first set of stairs. Listen for the music! ~ LOGISTICS ~ Admission: $12-$20 sliding scale (please note that there is a slight price increase to cover our expenses, musicians and warm up facilitator) [kids 12 and under free] ❖ Please pay at the event entrance. ❖ Work exchange available for comp'd entry: ~ three setup spots 9am-10 (must be on time... if you don't think you can be there by 8:55 and ready to help at 9am please do leave this opportunity for someone who will) ~ two 45 minute door shifts.. message Sarah Monette to apply. There’s interactive art, space for prayer or meditation, a board for networking, and kids corner with family actives. All are welcome! We dance barefoot, though non-street shoes may be worn for health reasons. The dance floor is considered to be a sacred uplifted space and we request conversation be taken outside to honor dance and respect those engaged in the journey.
