ICITE - Indian Contact Improv Teachers Exchange

Indian Contact Improvisation Teachers Exchange (ICITE 2020) is a professional conference to encourage and develop Contact Improvisation teaching among Indians and Contact Improvisation within India through exchange of knowledge and related ideas. Registration is open for all CI teachers while prioritizing Indian CI teachers and Indian dancers with experience in CI who are interested in teaching CI. This is a time to encourage and develop contact improvisation in India through exchange of knowledge, idea, concerns and to spearhead projects and collaborations. This is a unique gathering happening for the first time in india. For this initial ICITE we are specifically focusing and supporting the professional growth of Indian CI teachers and CI in india. ICITE is facilitated by Guru Suraj and Priyanka Barua, Erica Kaufman and Ray Chung and a Special Skype session with Nancy Stark Smith. We are thrilled to be supported by Atul Kumar and the beautiful grounds of Kamshet and also by CI-India. Since ICITE is designed to support healthy sustainable ongoing growth for CI in India and among Indians, registration prioritizes Indian CI teachers and dancers with experience in CI. By doing so ICITE aims to connect us nationally and internationally. Teaching tools/methods, unique challenges, and discoveries will be shared within a focused organized forum. We are collecting specific topics of interest that can be addressed within the ICITE schedule. When you register you will receive a welcome email letter where you will be asked to list any of your topics of interest, concern or simply ideas you wish to see included for the event. Although we cannot guarantee to include all of these wishes, we aim to best organize and integrate these request, and aim to have time allotted for anything that still needs attention.
