Impulse: An Indoor Sol Dance experience at The Chapel on Sycamore - SUNDAY - 3 12

Join us for the fifth and final offering in our Winter series of indoor events we're calling – IMPULSE – at the iconic Chapel on Sycamore in Decatur on Sunday, March 12 from 11:30a - 2:00p. As this chapter at the beloved Sycamore Chapel comes to a close, we wanted to offer the opportunity for all of us to check in with the natural impulses of our bodies. What feeds us? What drives us? What are the origins of our creativity and is it authentic? Together, through the power of movement and music, we'll go on one final Winter dance journey to discover the impulses of our soul’s most profound yearnings. Co-Founder & Resident DJ Scott Houston will be on the decks accompanied by Co-Founder & Ceremonialist Maya Lemberg as MC. 🌺 Featuring Resident Drummer AJ Nocito alongside Frankie B. & Jakemé. Opening Warm-Up offered by Marissa Skolky. Closing Sound Bath facilitated by Metabear + Phoenix. Witchy Kombvchy will be vending the most delicious + consciously made ‘booch in ATL alongside Vital Vessel offering refreshing, ionized H20. WHAT WE DO: Sol Dance is a free-form movement experience where all bodies are welcomed. We offer a gently guided, sensory journey meant to be experienced in its entirety. The music is meticulously curated by Scott alongside talented percussionists & sound healers – generally not limited to only one genre. You can expect a culturally-diverse blend of electronic and acoustic sounds, skillfully attuned to the energy of the group. Beginning with an opening meditation and moving into deeper, slower sounds, the bpm & energy peak in the middle, and are finally brought back down, closing with meditative sound healing and a gratitude circle. We invite you to gift yourself the complete experience from start to finish.
