In Lak'ech Dance Online 8-wk Series

Dear Dance Community, due to COVID-19 we will be making changes to all three of our 8-wk (12hr) Series. As a community, we are really thinking of our immunocompromised individuals and our elders. Please continue to stay inside and support one another when you can. The Series will be moved to a Virtual capacity, where we will use Zoom in order to have an interactive experience with one another. We offer three Series options for you to choose: 1 ) Bachata Beginner Level: Whether you’re new to Bachata or you’re looking to strengthen your current skills, you’ve found the perfect class. Together you will learn the history of Bachata, it’s origin, the instruments used, rhythmic timing and of course, the fundamental steps, turns, and twists to Bachata dancing. Our goal is for our students to finish the series with new skills in timing, footwork, and partner work for social dancing. 2) Salsa On2 Beginner Level: In this course, Students will have the opportunity to learn at a beginner pace for those who have never danced Salsa On-2, or for those who only are familiar with Salsa On-1. Our goal is for our students to leave with an understanding of Salsa history, musicality, body movement, styling, timing, footwork, and spins. 3) Bachata Intermediate Level 1: [Partner Needed] Take your Bachata dancing to the next level with our Intermediate Level Bachata Series. This 8-wk Series will focus on building strong and confident Social Dancing skills. We will learn how to let the music lead our dance, by exploring movements to the three different Bachata rhythms, as well as to specific instruments. Participants will learn Foundation Building Partnerwork Technique. Students will learn a variety of different Leader & Follow movements within Partnerwork.
