Inclusion Fusion Partner Dance Party ~ Alchemical Expression Celebration w ELE!

In honor of the mid summer transition from Cancer to Leo season (and a solar return of your friendly neighborhood Ele), we will be exploring emotionality, expression, and the potential of non-verbal storytelling in partner dance. Come celebrate Ele’s birthday by bringing some food or drinks to the potluck table and staying late to play. Tunes and social will go till 11ish 🥳 Class description: ALCHEMICAL EXPRESSION 💧🔥 How can we get specific and intentional in how we communicate with ourselves and each other through movement? How can we hold our full experience and each other simultaneously, and in a good way? Let’s discover the paradoxical playground of where water meets fire. Let’s utilize the dance floor as a safe space to move through the challenges and beauty of the default world. Get ready to be vulnerable, playful, and celebrate the multiplicity of your full expression! Teacher: Ele (they/them) is a performer and educator passionate about supporting creativity, healing, and decolonization work within individuals and communities. With a background in the theatre and over 12 years of contact improv experience, Ele found the fusion partner dance scene in Nevada City/Grass Valley a few years ago and has fallen in love with discovering new and deeper ways to move with others in rhythm. They also work with sound and practice water dance therapy (Agua Hara / Janzu), and are curious about how we can harness the transformative potential of movement in water to our dance on land. They are deeply inspired by the power of partner dance, and truly believe that one of the most radical acts we can do is coming into real and vulnerable connection with others. Ele is grateful to serve this community and excited to be teaching and djing at Inclusion Fusion in Grass Valley.
