Inclusivity Workshop - for Leaders in the Afro Latin Dance Community

📣CALLING ALL ALIES 📣 We are happy to announce an Inclusivity Workshops, addressing ways to make your events , classes and festivals more inclusive to the LGBTQ+ community 🏳️‍🌈 This workshop will be facilitated by someone who is a Consultant for Change, an Activist for Equity....Adi Mendiola Barreto. Adi (ahh-dee) (they/them) is a Latinx, non-binary consultant, writer, and activist. They currently work with companies across sectors to optimize and build more inclusive candidate hiring experiences and cultivate long-term sustainable belonging for underrepresented groups. Formerly the enterprise sales manager at Textio, Barreto oversaw the strategy and execution of the company’s global revenue. Before this role, Barreto worked with clients to build employer brand strategies to attract more people from underrepresented groups through editorial and visual media. Prior to this, Barreto did public relations for the fashion and celebrity industry. Core to their work is the belief that language impacts behavior; the right words can influence the right numbers: representation and returns. Adi received their BA in Public Relations with a minor in LGBTQ studies. They recently moved to the San Francisco Bay Area. They are likely dancing– and or eating salsa as you read this.
