About this Event
The Five Lamps Arts Festival and Go Dance for Change are so proud to announce the first dance workshop with Yves Lorrhan of the season! π₯ππ₯
Inner Flow - Dance class is a way to awaken the dance flow that exists within each person, with several Afro-Brazilian dance techniques and styles such as samba-reggae, axΓ© music, samba, capoeira and lambada. It will enable participants to have a unique body experience, making them realize how flexible their bodies can be and that everyone has their own flow of movement.
About the artist:
Yves Lorrhan is a professional dancer and choreographer from Brazil, living in Ireland since 2019. Renowned as a ballroom dancer, he brings 20 years of professional experience. His own project, Men do not Dance, is an ongoing study into the social, physical and psychological factors that prohibit men from allowing themselves to dance, with the intention of encouraging men to use dance as a vehicle for self-expression.
In his dancer curriculum, Yves had over 300 performances in many public spaces throughout Brazil. In addition to ballroom dancing, he dedicates himself to classical ballet, contemporary dance, afro dance and improvisation contact, always seeking to improve his practices.
