And if I am here is there a purpose to me? Is my life fated? Or is my life free? I looked all around, desperate to know I read ancient texts, learned the art of flow I sought wisdom in the trees, in the caw of the crow I cried out for the pains that occurred long ago First I cried for my own unacknowledged pains Fear, anger, grief, am I insane? And then the pain went beyond my own selfish domain To the wounds of a world living in vain Somehow through all this, I came to realize That in order to be here, in order to survive Whatever the cause of my being alive Inspiration would wipe the tears from eyes I noticed there were times when I felt a spark inside Upon seeing something so creatively divine Or reveling in the synchronicity of a series of signs And in the way a small act of kindness could change the course of one’s life I tended those sparks and followed their lead I let go of the things that felt wrong for me I gave up looking for a destination to be I followed my bliss, trusting this as the key It’s a conscious effort, yet what else can we do? But follow those sparks, so bright & so true Tending the seeds of our heart's inspiration Trusting this to give will in taking right action This more than anything has been my guiding star When everything else in the world seems dark I tune into these little sparks near and dear to my heart May divinely inspired action bless our dance and our art <3 ~~~~~ IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENTS: Door will close at the beginning of the opening circle.
