A skills based class that studies the art of physical communication as inseparable from movement skills. Work with an extended system of the MindBody and movement based principles. Will expand dancer's capacity to change levels of physicality and creative attention. Training toward strong, flexible Minds/Bodies.

Nita Little participated in the emergence and development of Contact Improvisation in 1972 and has been exploring the embodied mind in the physics of motion, creative action, and the performance of presence ever since. Nita tours internationally on a regular basis teaching technical and creative skills through improvisational techniques. Now a doctorial candidate in Performance Studies Nita is
developing a methodology while writing her dissertation.
Lizz Roman, Artistic Director of Lizz Roman & Dancers, has been dancing and choreographing in San Francisco since 1984. Her work has been presented at ODC Theater, Theater Artaud, DanzHaus, Brady Street Theater, Dancer’s Group and Yerba Buena Gardens, and won a SF Weekly Black Box Award. She studied theater at the Goodman School of Drama in Chicago, and attributes much of her choreographic style to her years as a student and performer of improvisational theater. In addition to teaching at ODC School, she teaches at SF Dance Center and is a certified Pilates trainer.
