Intensive Workshops & Party with FredyClan and special guests!

Get your dancing shoes ready, please spread the word and invite all your friends. We are very pleased that FredyClan will be joining us again and are very excited to announce that we also have two very special guests joining us this year, Dani from Havana Londres and Imantas Joneckis! During the afternoon there will be fantastic dance workshops with the amazing Fredy, Dani and Imantas and they will all be joining us to party afterwards too!!! The workshops will be followed by a salsa party with Javier La Rosa. His music will take you on a journey to the streets of Cuba, and the contagious atmosphere will have everyone dancing all night. Fredy, Dani and Imantas will also be leading fun animations throughout the night. If you love Cuban music, make sure you don't miss it! FREDY GARCIA AKA FREDYCLAN Fredy Garcia Batista, better known as FredyClan, studied at the ‘Escuela Nacional de Arte’ (ENA) and at the ‘Instituto Superior de Arte’ (ISA) in Cuba and graduated each as best of the year. Since then, he has been working as a dancer and choreographer for various productions in theatre, television, film and music in Cuba and in many other countries all over the world. Many well-known names of Cuban and international artists highlight the path of his career. Compay Segundo, Oscar de León and La India to name just a few. Fredy has worked with the number one Cuban group ‘Carlos Manuel y su Clan’ for five years as choreographer and dancer. Their unique choreographies have been extremely popular throughout Cuba. Carlos and Fredy became close friends and it was at this time Fredy created his stage name 'FredyClan'. Fredy has also worked with La Charanga Habanera and Bamboleo, performing as a dancer, as well as organising the shows as choreographer and he participated in many of their national and international concerts. Fredy studied Arts alongside Alexander Abreu, the bandleader of ‘Havana d’Primera’, where they became good friends who always enjoy working together as they recently did on tour with ‘The Bar at Buena Vista’. Besides this, Fredy also has a successful career as a teacher. Private lessons, workshops, courses, festivals or congresses, one student or 100, absolute beginners or professionals – he enoys all of his teaching experiences. Each type of lesson is a different kind of challenge and requires its own special style of teaching. To see the students having fun and to observe their progress, fills him with pride and gives his work meaning. DANIELLE SATSIAS HAVANA LONDRES Dani founded and runs “Havana Londres”, the dance school that has shaken up the Cuban salsa scene in London! She has taught at various dance events and festivals across the UK and Europe and is fast becoming known for her unique style of choreography that fuses street vibes with good humour and infectious energy! The Havana Londres vibe is like no other – Known best for their Rueda de Casino, Reggaetón and legendary parties, be ready for explosive energy, laughter and plenty of attitude! IMANTAS JONECKIS Imantas is a well known dancer and teacher in his home country, Lithuania. He has been successful in a number of major competitions, including the highly acclaimed Baltic Salsa Show and other international shows. Before Cuban Salsa "stole his heart and became his passion" Imantas was a member of the Lithuanian Dance Sport Federation. In 2016 Los Van Van were so impressed by a dance show Imantas and his partner, Sandra, did that they they rang to ask if they could use the video! With fantastic musicality and a genuine, kind and positive personality, you would be crazy not to make the most of a workshop with this man! JAVIER LA ROSA Javier has supported many of Cuba’s greatest musicians in concert in the UK and France. These include as ‘Los Van Van’, ‘Pupy y Los Que Son Son, ‘Maykel Blanco’, ‘Elito Reve’, ‘Sierra Maestra’, ‘Osvaldo Chacon’, ‘Paulito FG’, ‘Sur Caribe’, ‘Manolito Simonet y su trabuco’ y ‘Candido Fabre’. He has also played at several one off and prestigious yearly events. He DJ's at Salsa Fusion and Sambrosa, Sambrosa in London and will be DJ'ing at the Summer Salsa Festival in Croatia again this year!
