Lindy Lions swing dance club from UCCS will be hosting ICSB and putting on their own Gatsby Gala workshop in collaboration with Intercollegiate Swing Association and Intercollegiate Swing Battle. With two tracks of workshop classes featuring Karen Vizzard Hopkins Dabney Hopkins Sara Deckard Joshua Mclean Tori Cushing Lani Dobson Russell Klimas Anthony Carusiello and Stephanie Rae Social Dances to Live Music from Jeremy Mohney and La Pompe Jazz This year features: -beginner track -int. advanced track -2 hours of aerials -1 self care for dancers class -intro to hip hop -intro to contemporary *tentative pool party *tentative intro to african dance roots -panel: how to teach lindy hop -panel:how to run events/fundraise/run a college club The event itself revolves around garnering youth interest in swing dance, especially lindy hop culture. We aim to give students easy access to top of the line instructors, the ability to win prizes, and network with eachother.
