Intermediate Tango Arranging
This event is part of a series.
About this Event
Intermediate Tango Arranging is a practical workshop taught by Julián Peralta focused on developing participants’ own arrangements through detailed feedback and discussion.
The class centers on the analysis and revision of student work, offering concrete suggestions on orchestration, harmony, structure, and stylistic clarity in tango arranging.
🗓 Schedule: Wednesdays, March 25 – April 8, 2026
🕘 Time: 9:00–11:00 PM CST (Online)
💲 Pricing: $25/class or $60/3 classes
This class is led masterclass-style, revising students' work in real time. Students may bring an arrangement of an existing or original tango, written for any ensemble. The material can range from a short excerpt of 8 measures to a complete piece of 80–90 measures.
Each class will focus on one (1) student’s arrangement, allowing time for listening and score review. While a limited number of students will present their work, anyone is welcome to join the class as an observer.
At minimum three (3) students’ arrangements will be discussed in this round of classes; if there is greater demand, additional classes may be scheduled in the future.
***If you wish to have your arrangement worked on during class, email [email protected]***
