Bachata is a style of dance that originated in the Dominican Republic. It is danced widely all over the world but not identically. The basics to the dance are three-step with a Cuban hip motion, followed by a tap including a hip movement on the 4th beat. Bachata is commonly known by many as a very sensual dance. What is Salsa Dance Style? Salsa is a Latin dance associated with the music genre of the same name which originated in the 1960s in New York City. In many styles of salsa dancing, as a dancer shifts their weight by stepping into the middle to have 50/50 weight, the upper body remains level and nearly unaffected by the weight changes.
