International Women's Day at Rhythm City Strut

This week on the occasion of International Women's Day Angie's set will honour "the ladies who swing the bands": the women composers, arrangers, bandleaders, vocalists and instrumentalists of swing and jazz, past and present. No one turned away for lack of funds. • Free admission if you've never danced before - bring your friends! • Volunteers always dance for free, sign up for a shift at the door! A portion of our revenue goes to payyourrent.ca, a multi-nation Indigenous-led project to receive payment from settlers. Our classes and events take place on the stolen land of the Sḵwx̱wú7mesh (Squamish), Səl̓ílwətaʔ/Selilwitulh (Tsleil-Waututh) and xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam) Nations.
