Our “Intro to Lindy Hop” series is your ticket to a rhythm-filled swing dancing adventure. Whether you’re a seasoned dancer or a complete newbie, this class promises to open up a whole new world of swing dancing. 𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁’𝘀 𝗟𝗶𝗻𝗱𝘆 𝗛𝗼𝗽? Lindy Hop is like a jazzed-up time machine that transports you to the vibrant dance floors of Harlem in the 1930s. and 1940's. Here’s the scoop: 𝟴-𝗖𝗼𝘂𝗻𝘁 𝗠𝗮𝗴𝗶𝗰: Lindy Hop is all about that 8-count rhythm. Syncopated beats, infectious energy, and a dash of sass. We’ll teach you the 8 count basic and how to combine it with 6 count moves. 𝗦𝘄𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗢𝘂𝘁, 𝗕𝗮𝗯𝘆!: The Swing Out is Lindy Hop's secret weapon. It’s the heart and soul of Lindy Hop—a move that’ll make you feel like you’re floating on air. We’ll break it down, step by step, until you have a solid handle on it. 𝗠𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝗠𝗼𝘃𝗲𝘀, 𝗠𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝗙𝘂𝗻: And…there’s more! Lindy Hop isn’t just about the Swing Out. We also sprinkle in lots of other cool funky moves. 𝗡𝗼 𝗣𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗻𝗲𝗿 𝗡𝗲𝗰𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗮𝗿𝘆. 𝗥𝗲𝗾𝘂𝗶𝗿𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁: Any of the following: Completion of our Intro to Swing Dancing series, solid lead or follow fundamentals in 6 count swing or in other dance genres, ie: Jive, East Coast Swing, West Coast Swing, Latin, Ballroom.
