Ira is coming! She is brilliant So get ready! She will joinTomasz in teaching a Lindy Hop workshops that will have a special focus! This weekend's focus will be on the nuance of Rotational and Linear movement in Lindy Hop! In this workshop we would like to make you more aware about of your own movement, the connection between you and your partner, and about the dance you can build together, sharing the responsibilities and bringing the ideas in 50/50. You will learn how to build a new type of connection, how to make and untlise the difference between Linear and the Rotational movement, and we find it so interesting and important to understand. We will talk about the turn technique for both leaders and followers, which will help to make them more clear, easier and much more joyful. Also, we will talk about how you can use it to bring your musicality, creativity and rhythm to the next level. Schedule: Friday 18.10 Topic: Connect or not Connect,is that a Question? Level: Open - knowledge of basic Lindy Hop shapes expected Open 19:00-21:00 Do you know, which type of the connection do you use during your dance and how it affects your dancing? Do you know how to understand which type of the connecting your dance partner usse and how to build up the dance, based on it? How to lead more clear and to still give the space to the follower? How to connect yourself to the leader and to “read” the information through the connection? This class will be useful for dancers at all levels, as it is one of the main basic topics and one of the hardest at the same time :) During this class we would share the main understanding of the connection and the movement for both (leaders and followers), which we would also use for the rest of the classes during the weekend. Saturday 19.10 . Level: Intermediate 12:00-13:30 - Linear or Rotational? How to lead and how to follow 14:00-15:30 - Dynamic on the Linear and Rotational movements. How to do and what is the difference? Sunday 20.10 Level: Advanced 12:00-13:30 Linear or Rotational? How to lead and how to follow 14:00-15:30 Dynamic on the Linear and Rotational movements. How to do and what is the difference? Linear or Rotational? How to lead and how to follow Do you know how to lead the difference between Linear and Rotational movements? Do you know how does it affect the next movement you want / can do after that? We will show you how to make an interesting dance even using a few moves, but doing them different every time. For the followers special: can you feel the difference between Linear and Rotational lead? Do you know which way do you usually use as your basic movement (is it Linear or Rotational)? Dynamic on the Linear and Rotational movements. How to do and what is the difference? We would use the knowledge we get from first classes, knowing how to use the Linear and Rotational movement / moves and directions and will add the Dynamic on top of it. You would see, how to change the lead / following to make the dynamic happen, how to use it as a part of the musicality, rhythm or changing the directions.
