In 2012 right here in Perth a small group of zouk enthusiasts started something that is now a world wide event: The International Zouk Flash Mob! We never thought that a simple initiative from our loved Perth crowd would grow into something so out of measure! Perth's IZFM 2012! << https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dL9a0Lfa2cE International Zouk Flash Mob 2012 (85 cities - 33 countries) On September 16th 2012 thousands of Zouk dancers in 85 cities from 33 countries danced as one: all at the same day, the same choreography, 85 Flashmobs!Rio de Janeiro, New York, Tokyo, Singapore, Dubai, Kiev, Sydney, Amsterdam, Hong Kong, Berlin, Paris, Barcelona, Prague, and many, many more, have joined forces to create the biggest Dance flashmob in history. Never before has such a complex operation been pulled off on a pure enthusiam basis. There is no sponsoring, no companies have been involved. There are no commercial interests. All the people involved are volunteers. There is no other motive than the love for this dance. World Wide IZFM Compilation video for 2013 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pOSSFEohpWs International Zouk Flash Mob 2013 (127 Cities - 43 Countries) An amazing event took place in September 2013, the IZFM (International Zouk Flash Mob) 2013. It was organized from private initiative by some crazy zouk-addicts! The date was – 21 September 2013. The world danced as one, and the great thing is that 21st of September is the International Day of Peace. One of the reasons we chose this date for IZFM 2013 is, that it fits perfect with our motto: Unite the world with zouk, the dance of love Dancing connects and this is why we love IZFM! People from many countries all over the world, from different cultures and backgrounds worked together for a common goal. It doesn't matter where you are from, what the colour of your skin is, your religion, the language you speak: we all speak the same language in the dance. And now, it is the time of the year again that we start practicing for the International Zouk Flash Mob that will take place on the 21st of September 2014 (same date as last year). The choreography has already been chosen through a world wide contest, and the winners are Renata and Michael from Warsaw/Poland! They have done an amazing job and we are very excited to work on the routine and show the world how Perth dancers are awesome! *** Choreography *** The choreography is about 2min long and there are 2 versions. The ‘simplified’ and the ‘original’ version. We are aiming to complete a mix of both which will make us look amazing and at the same time allow to introduce non-dancers into the group choreo. Starting on Sunday 27th of July, and every following Sunday until the big day on the 21st of September! >>Fee? $10 per person to cover running expenses of the venue and the teachers, this is a non-profit event world-wide. ($5 for the ZouKizomba Practica) *** FLASH MOB DAY 21st of September 2014 *** We will be performing it at many important places in the city and around Perth.
