Contact Improv: Scott Wells
Sound Healing: Izzy Wise
DJ: Izzy Wise
Izzy Wise - Hailing from San Francisco, Izzy Wise is a multi-instrumentalist and DJ who produces eclectic dance music that bounces from West Africa to the West Indies, and all points in between.
For more than a decade Wise cut his teeth in San Francisco, DJing at parties like the legendary Afrolicious night and landmark venues like The
Independant, Monarch, and 1015 Folsom. He has played bass and horns in many groups performing styles ranging from Turkish, Balkan, Cumbia, Brazilian, Salsa, Funk, and more. His pursuit for unique rhythms and melodies has led him to the jungles of Nicaragua and fabled islands lost in the Caribbean Sea.
When he's not making field recordings and playing in live groups, Wise releases music on imprints like Délicieuse Records, Lips & Rhythm, Mule Musiq, and Cafe Anatolia. His dedication in the studio is unwavering and his original output often reflects a well-blended taste of global dance music, disco, boogie funk and house.
Wise also plays live with a variety of instruments that he works into his energetic performances.
His sets are best described as funky underground ethnomusicology courses with hypnotic grooves. Host of the Hi Life Party, a pop up global music party dedicated to all that is be

Sound Healing: Izzy Wise
San Francisco based Izzy Wise aka Isaac Weiser first started performing music in his Dad’s Klezmer band as a teenager. As the multi instrumentalist began learning new instruments and collecting records, so came the influx of different styles and cultures of music. Having played in many bands performing reggae, afrobeat, funk, rock, hip hop, klezmer, drum n bass, and latin styles this versatile performer began producing his own music and djing in 2007. Combining his knowledge of multiple instruments, sound reinforcement, and his love of mixing music from different cultures, we now have the electro world dub mashup that is izzy*wise’s music.
Isaac Weiser has played and collaborated with many different musicians and groups, and has a growing discography including 7 vinyl releases. Some notable groups are: LoCura, Lucky Brown and the Funk Revolution, Afrolicious, Pleasuremaker Band, Makru, Mophono Halftone Society, J Boogie, Nicodemus
He has also had the pleasure of opening for many heroes and talents including: Culture, Arrested Development, Sharon Jones and the Dap Kings, Ocote Soul Sounds, Dirty Dozen Brass Band, and many more!!
