The J&Js may be on weekdays or weekend - please fill the form https://forms.gle/owNqFWPVs1TUmWWB6 and let us know what dates are best! ____________________ ▷ ABOUT J&J Zouk Legends will host special Jack & Jill training sessions and Unofficial Jack & Jill competitions — the very first of their kind in Warsaw, and even in Poland! 👑🚀 These sessions are for anyone who is: ✨ Already competing and want to dive deeper and sharpen your competition skills ✨ Curious about competitions and want a safe, supportive space to explore and understand before stepping into an official competition (which can feel intimidating!) ✨ Not planning to compete but want to add skills and knowledge that will improve your social dancing We’ll meet once every few weeks — enough time to digest, practice, and get more confident ____________________ ▷ TWO TYPES OF SESSIONS 1️⃣ Jack & Jill Training Sessions → Learn the inner workings of Jack & Jill, dive into focused drills, and play with exercises designed to build competition-ready skills. Each training session blends: • Mindset tips & judging insights • Q&A and open discussions • Themed exercises & drills • Competition scenarios • Lots of practice, feedback & encouragement 2️⃣ Unofficial Jack & Jills → A full simulated competition with bib numbers, lineups, heats, judges, audience… the whole vibe. The super cool bonus: Live feedback in real time - judges explain why one couple advanced, why another didn’t, and what could make the difference next time. Something you rarely get in real competitions! These sessions will include: • Heats (aka All-Skate; many couples dancing at once) • Battles (two couples dancing at a time) • Spotlights (one couple dancing in front of everyone) ✎ Please note — Nothing will ever be forced — so if you're not feeling comfortable enough to dance as a spotlight or battle, you do not have to! ____________________ ▷ THE JUICY DETAILS (for the ones who like to read): Over the next several months, we’ll explore different themes, each designed to make you a more creative, dynamic, and interesting dancer — whether or not Jack & Jill competitions are your goal. We aim to host these sessions every few weeks, alternating: Training → Unofficial J&J comp → Training → Unofficial J&J comp Themed Training Sessions we’ve already created (Yep - we’ve been busy!) ✨ Co-Creation & Playfulness – letting your partner shine, taking ownership, making suggestions, reading the room and each other ✨ Performance, Presence & Entertainment – showmanship, energy, stage presence, playing with the audience ✨ Mindset & Confidence – mindset, goal setting, training routines, competition game plan & analysis ✨ Survival Skills – fixing mistakes, taking responsibility, avoiding self-sabotage ✨ Contrast & Dynamics – playing with tension, release, build-ups, changing angles, using momentum ✨ Floorcraft & Awareness – difference between dancing with many couples vs owning the whole floor in a spotlight, moving with confidence ✨ Connection & Intention – leading, following, and co-creating with clarity ✨ Musicality & Interpretation – understanding music, expressing phrases, playing with accents …and many more surprises — we don’t want to give them all away! 😉 ____________________ ▷ THE MOST IMPORTANT PART - OUR ‘WHY’ Official Jack & Jill competitions can feel intense or intimidating. Some dancers avoid them because of pressure, fear of judgment, or worry it might take away the joy of social dancing. We want to show you how competitions can teach new skills (mentally as well as physically) and allow you to grow in ways you couldn’t before. They’re meant to uplift, not divide. 🧠 Our vision: Unite Warsaw as a family — a community that supports each other. Vulnerability is where the magic happens. Here, we encourage, not scare. When it comes time for the real thing, our goal is that Warsaw dancers step onto the floor backed by cheers, love, and encouragement — not fear.
