Jams are an important social aspect of Swing Dancing and Urban Dances: a jam circle or cipher is a safe space for dancers to share, support and grow together. As she grew up among ballroom dancers, she was always fascinated by partner dances - communication, connection, and expression. It wasn't long before ballroom dance competitions took over her life. It's a fact that many years of experience and work in the atmosphere of latin rhythms and elegance of standard are a strong core of Marta's dance development. Something was missing after all - the element of improvisation! Since 2018, Lindy Hop and Authentic Jazz - a space filled with inspiring music, freedom of movement, and joy - are her most important source of energy. Thanks to unique people and the magical atmosphere of dancing, sharing, and being together, the journey with Lindy Hop may never end for her. As a dancer, she values originality, musicality, and soulfulness. She tries to share her inexhaustible energy, passion, and knowledge during classes, workshops, and social dances. Marta is currently living in Poznań (Poland), where she contributes to the development of her local community by teaching Lindy Hop and initiating meetings concerning different aspects of Jazz culture. You can also find her traveling, teaching, and competing all over the world. ALEXEY Alexey Kazennov is an incredibly talented and inspiring swing dancer who is currently staying in Poland. He started dancing in 2013, with extraordinary enthusiasm going to every single party. In 2015 he began teaching, practicing, and traveling all over the world, making dancing his profession. Since then, he has won a great number of competition titles (ILHC, Savoy Cup, The Snowball, Lindy Shock, Rock That Swing, and long etcetera!). He loves to challenge and push himself constantly to improve. Lindy hop, Authentic Jazz, Blues, Balboa, and St. Louis Shag… He can dance it all! Alexey is famous for his personal style as a dancer, his big smile, and most of all for his high energy on the dance floor. You will probably see him until the party ends, don't miss his "survivors picture"! His purpose as a teacher is to inspire people to find their own style. Poland, where he teaches in Retro Dance Studio in Poznań, became his second home. Before he had an opportunity to work for a few years with dancers from Istanbul. Do you believe that someone can dance for 24 hours non-stop? Yes, this is Alexey! JORIS Dancer, actor and musician, Joris is a true Jack of all trades! Originally from Belgium, he currently resides in Berlin where he actively performs and teaches. While he has a background in physical theater (The Commedia School, Copenhagen, 2007), his path evolved towards dance and more specifically African American jazz dances such as the Lindy Hop and what we often refer to as "authentic" jazz mixed with the Charleston. As a dance instructor, he gives his best, always looking for answers in the roots of jazz. Learning to play clarinet and trombone developed his understanding of jazz as a movement. Founder of the Crazy Legs Dance School in Ghent, Belgium, the city where he honed his skills, he is always open to whatever's around the corner, curious about new projects.
