Do you love Latin Dance? Do you want to experience Japan? This is the trip for you! Join Alex on this 10 day “best of Japan” trip. Experience the beauty of rural Japan in the prestigious village of Niseko, explore the historic former capital of Kyoto, the hustle and bustle of Osaka, finishing in off in amazing Tokyo. Schedule Thursday 14th - TOKYO Find your own way into Tokyo with several options of both budget and premium airlines. An informal late dinner and social outing will be on the cards if you arrive early enough. Alex will meet you at the designated hotel and provide support with getting to and from the airport. Just let him know your flight details. Friday 15th NISEKO An early morning start where we head off to Haneda airport on Tokyos monorail! We’ll then fly to Sapporo in the North and take a scenic shuttle bus to Niseko. Arriving around lunchtime you will have some downtime to relax and explore hotel (Hilton Niseko). Performers will have an afternoon rehearsal followed by a town performance where the locals from Niseko village will pack out the town hall to experience a night of Latin Dance. If you’re not performing enjoy the show and participate in a fun class afterwards, interact with local people as they practice their english (or your Japanese???) finish the night off with western style dinner at a local produce farm with a dance party after. Saturday 16th NISEKO Workshops with local instructors and a few special guests will take place during the day. Chill out in the afternoon then practice your social dancing skills in the evening with a Jack N Jill competition. Sunday 17th NISEKO A bunch of activities both free and some at an additional cost will be available during the day. In the afternoon we’ll have a steer party in a tradition Japanese village and eat at a choice of Japanese restaurants located inside the Hilton Niseko village. Monday 18th OSAKA We head straight from our magical rural village to the hustle and bustle of Osaka. Flying from Sapporo to Osaka. Have some free time and mix with the fun locals, eat at the casual dining areas in dotunburi. Tuesday 19th OSAKA Choose from a few options 1) Osaka Must See top 5 highlights tour 2) Universal Studios 3) choose your own adventure We’ll then meet up at one of Osaka’s best salsa nights for a boogie. Wednesday 20th OSAKA-KYOTO Have a relaxed morning as we make leisurely make our way via your first taste (a 13 minute ride) on a Shinkansen (Japanese bullet train) to the ancient capital of Kyoto. I. The late afternoon we’ll head to Samurai/Ninja museum where we’ll dress up in Samurai costumes and learn how to throw ninja stars. We’ll then head for a local dinner and catch the local (famous) salsa club, run by one of Japans biggest promoters. Thursday 21st KYOTO Choose from 1) full day guided tour of Kyoto visiting all the main sites 2) choose your own adventure In the evening you’ll be free to choose from the vast array of food, whether it be traditional or modern. It’s up to you. Friday 22nd KYOTO-TOKYO Early morning wake up and head straight to Tokyo on a trip on the Shinkansen train. Just over 2 hours to get into Tokyo station. We’ll check into our hotel and have some chill out/explore time, then head out for dinner at Gonpachi where they filmed a scene in Kill Bill. We’ll then head out to a social night (a sowsh) and dance until our feet hurt. SATURDAY 23rd TOKYO Choose from 1) full day tour of Tokyo, see the must see’s of Tokyo or 2) choose your own adventure Family farewell dinner Social dancing SUNDAY 24th TOKYO - HOME This is a free day to dive deeper and explore Tokyo. With so many options to choose from, spend your last day here as you wish, if you want to try anything cool, be sure to book. Most flights heading back to Australia depart in the evening getting you back home early morning. COST: between $3500-$5000 I will be finalising this in the next couple of weeks, if you are happy to share a room with someone then this will bring the price of the trip down. The cost will essentially cover your accomodation and transfers, and some of the main activities including the Niseko weekender event pass.
