Seminar Description Track 1 - Advanced Technique and Partnering. In this track you will refine your fundamental skills and will evaluate them at a more advanced level where little details and subtleties are meant to support a "fluent" dancer and take them to a different level in their own movement quality as well as their connection with their partner. You will work on activating your own body/mind in the dance, true connection, fluidity, precision, dynamics, and transmitting intention in your dance with the purpose of growing as a dancer and fine-tuning understanding between partners. The goal is to perfect the aesthetics along with the sensations. Track 2 - Dancing Beyond Technique. It’s highly recommended that Track 2 is preceded by Track 1, although not mandatory, as we aim to focus Track 2 on dancing and on creating various musical combinations in the class and it would be helpful to understand and utilize the techniques presented in Track 1. We will explore liberties of a leader and a follower in a couple and responsibilities of each, to be able to improvise freely in a unit. Co-tuning of a leader and a follower together with the music will be emphasized. Various structural and musical solutions for different combinations, and techniques for refining dance flow and highlighting musicality will be reviewed.
