In West Coast Swing competition, we don’t earn points for being expressive, creative, or musical — not directly. Instead Judges often reward technical body mechanics, partnered swing elements, and accurate Timing measurements. So what do you want your dancing to say? In this movement-focused intensive, we’ll tackle the real tension between authenticity and strategy. You’ll learn to recognize when to unleash your unique voice — and when to lean into the techniques judges are consciously (and subconsciously) trained to reward.
