The Jessica King Quartet serves up toe-tapping swing, sultry blues, and soulful jazz—made for the dance floor and straight from the heart. Drawing from her deep connection to Lindy Hop and a lifelong love of blues, jazz, and R&B, Jessica’s soulful vocals and rhythmic flair on washboard, guitar, and banjo create a sound that’s both rooted in tradition and unmistakably her own. Influenced by legends from Nat Cole to Bessie Smith, she delivers engaging performances that move you, whether you're dancing or simply listening and just along for the ride. Chris Ortega will be teaching a solo jazz dance workshop this month! he'll be leading a Lindy class centered around bringing familiar Solo Jazz movements into your partner dancing, learning a bit about bringing in the best of both worlds between partnership and individual voice.
