Joel Torgeson Workshop and Social Night

The fabulous Joel Torgeson will be teaching a special one off hour and half workshop on our Monday night class night on his travels through Europe before he heads back to America. DO NOT MISS THIS!! We are so lucky and privileged to have this talented young rising wcs star teaching for us! ABOUT JOEL; Joel grew up in rural Minnesota firmly believing that dance was something that his sister did, not him. The University of Minnesota Ballroom Dance Club changed all of that when his friend Jack invited him out with the promise: ’There will be girls there!’ From that inflection point his life became increasingly focused around dance, ultimately leading him to postpone higher education in Biological Anthropology to pursue his dance dreams in Los Angeles. Now living in Austin, Texas and competing in the Showcase and All Star divisions he dances all over the country (and world!) for fun. He loves teaching workshops, especially concept-based ones, and has started experimenting with short collaboration videos as a way of promoting WCS to new groups of people. He also runs the dance wear brand Feather Three and writes a blog (joeltorgeson.com) that discusses various elements of both life and dance.
