Johannesburg Afro-Latin Festival 2019

#JHBAfroLatinFest round 2 - here we go! Book your tickets now for a weekend full of education, entertainment and possibly even enlightenment of the Afro-Latin order! The Johannesburg Afro-Latin Festival 2019 is the second annual event of its kind after a successful launch in 2018. Focusing on dance and music education and entertainment associated with the Afro-Latin genres of salsa, bachata and kizomba, the festival offers workshops for beginners through to seasoned and professional dancers, Latin music enthusiasts and aspirant DJs, as well as community engagement activities with non-profit organisations in Johannesburg. The 2019 edition will include tango and some additional modern urban Latin and African genres. The event takes place over three days with an additional pre-party as well as a poolside social! With four official social events including two themed parties with local and international performances, the event will showcase the best of South African, African and international Afro-Latin street and social dance talent. Beginners will have access to a specially focused learning stream and less than half-price tickets, while seasoned and professional dancers will have access to international expert masterclasses and social dancing of the highest calibre, and all will be able to enjoy some history and heritage discussions as well.
