Jojo Alfonso of Ministry of Dance Thailand is here again to share his knowledge to all Kizomba fanatics of Singapore! Don't miss the chance to learn while the master is in town! He will also teach general dance techniques which are applicable to latin dancing e.g. leading, following, connection, musicality, fundamentals, and development from intermediate to advanced dance skills plus more dip and tricks. SAT 23 JUL 2016 General Dance Technique Kizomba (Part 1): Learn how to take your intermediate moves to advanced or to performance level by developing your intermediate moves using more of your body frame and back to lead or to follow with the cool kizomba combinations. Applying grounding through and the use of resistance against the floor techniques. It's very important that you know how to ground yourself and send the energy from your hips to the floor - resistance to the floor - use it for speed, stability, and the list goes on. SUN 24 JUL 2016 General Dance Technique Kizomba (Part 2): Learn another set of cool combination of Kizomba. Building strength in your feet and knowing how to use it which will drive your dance to whole new level of precision and arm execution through the body (Yes! Your arms don't move by themselves but instead initiated by the use and movement of your body). He brought his knowledge with him to Pattaya Thailand, where he started teaching salsa and ballroom dance and organised dance nights where his students and others from the dancing community could come together to dance and practice. In 2013, he conducted a Kizomba Workshop in Singapore and spread the kizomba fever to Asia. He has been invited to teach in other countries like Malaysia, Singapore, Korea, India, Nepal and Sydney. With his vast experience in various dances and teaching techniques, he hopes to share it with all of you.
