José Garófalo in NYC ~ Fresh Combinations of Elements

A lot of us had a lot of fun in José's weekend workshops at the end of February. Since then he's been touring the States and teaching workshops in various cities, and he'll pass through NYC once more on his way back home to Buenos Aires. This is José's last tour to the U.S. for the foreseeable future, and we definitely want one more class from him!! Join us for another delightful, inspiring afternoon with José's wonderfully fast-paced series of challenges, which seem to bring out everyone's best as we collaborate through new tango adventures – in this case, the class will serve as something of a continuation for those in the February workshops, as well as being accessible and welcoming to those who weren't. José will be in New York from March 26-30, and available for private lessons on most of those days as well. Come experience this wise – and still plenty mischievous – milonguero. José is a LOT of fun in any scenario and especially in a workshop. He's generous with sharing tango ideas/moves/techniques/improv structures and I've been impressed with how much his students do in any given class. José's bio: Jose is a complete artist, who weaves an imaginary bridge among the visual arts, theater, and tango dance. He studied drawing and painting with the great Guillermo Kuitca, acting with Vivi Tellas. Jose studied tango with Gustavo Naveira, Puppy Castello, The Dinzels and Miguel Balmaceda, among others. He is recognized as a distinguished dancer, choreographer, director, and teacher. José Garófalo emerged from the vanguard generation of Buenos Aires which approaches tango with the boldness and passion this genre demands.
