July 25th Outdoor Dance Party At Opera

This event is planned at the Opera entrance. This is a 100% free event. No tickets needed! Bachata, Zouk, Salsa & Kizomba Bring your friends with you! At the end of the event, please do not leave garbage where you were sitting. Please collect your own garbage and leave the place as clean as you found it! Bring a large speaker if you have one! Dance event at the Opera today (from 17:00 until maybe 21:00 or even later) may be one of the largest events this summer. Over 550 people have directly expressed interest in the event. The weather forecast is just perfect, about 22C, not too cold, not to hot for dancing. That usually means that most people interested will actually try to come to the event. We will probably have 2 speakers, (or maybe even 3 speakers), one playing 2 songs Bachata and 2 songs Salsa, and the other speaker playing a mix of Kizomba, B-Zouk, Urban Kiz and Semba. Rules are the same as always ... beside dancing with all of your friends, you are expected to ask for a dance at least 3 other people who you never danced before with. If that woks well, ask another 3 people. Ladies are expected to ask for a dance as often as the guys ... so ladies ... please do not just sit and wait for a random guy to ask you for a dance ... be pro-active and grab any guy that is at your reach! If you are a beginner of any level, you should not be afraid to ask strangers to dance. Just inform them that you are a beginner, and they will respect it. 100% of those who join dance events were also beginners once upon a time. I have never met anyone on the dance floor who was born advanced dancer. If you do not know the basic step, ask someone to show it to you and try to practice the basic step solo at least one or 2 songs before asking someone to dance with you. Bring water with you to drink ... Opera may be closed later today! It is illegal to drink alcoholic drinks in front of the Opera .... so if you do choose to bring something with you ... it is at your own risk. This event is organized by Alain, Eduardo, me and a few of our friends! If you are going, please select "GOING" on the event so the other people know who will be there. Please, before you leave the Opera ... remove all of your garbage (empty and half empty cups, bottles, cans, plastic bags, paper bags, paper plates, forks, spoons, etc.)
