July Melting Pot Fusion Dance Party-ZOUK EDITION

This month we are joining forces with New York's Zouk scene to host an epic summer party event at EPA for the first Saturday of July! WHAT IS IT? A summer dance party with 2 social dancing rooms! With the price of one dance social, you will have access to the zouk room and the fusion room (us!!) - No noise bleed! - Cooler temp than our other venue- perfect for summer - Opportunities to dance to an even wider variety of music! The energy will be off the charts! Come out have a blast at Melting Pot's only summer party! We will see you again in September ❤️ SCHEDULE: 7:00 - 8:00 PM - Zouk workshop- Beginning level 8:00 - 9:00 PM - Zouk workshop- Intermediate level OR 8:00 - 9:00 PM- Open Level fusion class with Alfredo Melendez! 9:00 PM - 12:00 AM Fusion and Zouk socials run with DJ FRAGA handling the zouk room and DJ T-LEX and DJ SABRINA repping for fusion! (And yes, you can dance fusion in the zouk room 😉) 12:00 AM - 2:00 AM: The fusion room is closed but the party continues on in the zouk room!! ------------------------------ Class Description: Close embrace... The power and the nuance. This first Saturday we will be exploring close embrace from the basics to the elements that can make the dance experience unforgettable. We will also address how to ensure that the close embrace is respectful from beginning to end. This class is primarily for beginners and intermediate dancers. In an effort to stay green, we will not be providing paper cups for you at this event. SHOES: This month you are welcome to bring whatever shoes you'd like to dance in. COVID: We follow all local regulations of New York City. Please refrain from coming to the party if you have any flu-like symptoms at all. We reserve the right to ask you questions about your health and/or ask you to leave if we observe signs of sickness that could be linked to Covid. In addition, we encourage anyone to wear a mask who feels more comfortable doing so, and you are welcome to ask anyone to put on a mask to dance with you. Fusion Dance NYC is proud to host a social dance with a true "Melting Pot" of different partner dance forms and musical genres. The Music: We play a variety of music, starting with a baseline of electronic sounds (easy to be creative with because it is not associated with any other dance form), and depending on the night may or may not include.....
