K-yo Victor's Birthday Weekend in DC!

K-yo Victor is coming to DC to celebrate his birthday! K-yo is one of the best-known soulzouk instructors around the world, a style of Brazilian zouk that focuses on connection with your partner. Before he comes for The White House Kizomba & Zouk Summit April 8 - 10, 2016, catch him for a few days of workshops and dancing. K-yo will be teaching several classes and workshops while he will be in town, and celebrating his birthday Sunday and Monday. Additional details for each event will be added here. (K-yo's B-Day!) 10pm-1am WHO IS K-YO VICTOR? K-yo Victor is a Brazilian zouk instructor and DJ from Brasilia, Brazil. His style of teaching focuses on slow, soulful zouk movements in concert with musicality and partner connection. He has taught zouk in Brazil, the United States, Canada, México, France, Spain, Switzerland, England, Italy and Sweden. He was the first Brazilian zouk instructor in North America, and has deejayed at many venues and events. In his early dance career, K-yo taught salsa and ballroom dance. In 2004 K-yo transitioned to specialize in Brazilian zouk, and in recent years K-yo has taught Brazilian zouk with soulzouk methodology at North American zouk congresses and festivals. Soulzouk is rooted in the principles of comfort, contact, connection, and enjoyment. From 2013-2015, K-yo has organized the F.I.E.L. Dance Festival in Brasilia (www.vounofiel.com.br), showcasing Brazilian dance culture with some of the best dance instructors in zouk, kizomba, and samba. He is currently on tour in North America.
