Kallidad in Townsville (w Ben Catley)

It's Island Time once again amigos! Following a massive show last time (over 700 people through the door!) Kallidad is thrilled to join forces once again with the Picnic Bay Hotel and Corona Beer to present a fiesta extravaganza in one of Australia's most beautiful locations- Magnetic Island! Expect lots of food, drink, dancing, fire and flamenco, plus some salsa, rhythms, drumming, friendship and great memories. It is an absolute pleasure to visit Magnetic Island and play our tunes, and we look forward to catching up with our beloved Townsville crew! There are still some details to be finalised (such as exact set times and ticketing information) so please keep an eye on this event, and the Kallidad Facebook page. For now, just save the date and get ready to party! Kallidad will be freshly returned from a four month Europe tour, which saw the group visit Ireland, The Netherlands, Switzerland, Slovakia and Croatia for the first time, and return to Germany, France, Switzerland, Austria, Denmark and Italy to follow up on previous tours. Kallidad has a brand new album- "The Odyssey" and can't wait to show everybody the new music! You can expect to hear many new songs including "The Odyssey," "Senorita Margarita," "The Strasbourg March,"Big Bill's Blues" and more, plus old favourites like "Death Fiesta" and "The Wild Wild Western." The new album will be available on CD, and also as a 44 page hardcover book (which includes the CD.) The album is also available online from all major music sources. Kallidad has dubbed their self created genre "Trash Flamingo," with a combination of flamenco, mariachi, rock and metal music creating an instrumental feast for the senses. The band has toured Europe, Japan, Indonesia, New Zealand and Australia, with their trademark "Day of the Dead" facepaint turning heads, and their insane music dropping jaws everywhere they go!
