Coming up in Havana, Cuba, in a place where power outages can disrupt a dj set at any moment, Cami spins in a league of her own. Her selections, spanning from synth-loaded cosmic Cuban funk, to percussive Yoruba rhythms and high-voltage latin grooves have stirred crowds in addition to her native Cuba, in Brazil and Mexico’s Carnaval Bahidora, where she shared the bill with Blood Orange, Underground Resistance and Larry Heard, to name a few.
