KEVIN AND JO - BEGINNERS AND BOOTCAMP 5-7 October 2012 Kevin St Laurent and Jo Hoffberg are coming to Singapore to show YOU how to make your Lindy rock! These 2 are true stars of the contemporary Lindy world. Together they hold titles at the International Lindy Hop Championships, European Swing Dance Championships, American Lindy Hop Championship, Ultimate Lindy Hop Showdown, Camp Hollywood and Camp Jitterbug. Youtube is filled with achievements and wins! Their witty choreography and distinctive styling are just some of the hallmarks of this dynamic duo. Their clear and humorous instructions have also made them extremely popular and effective instructors around the world. (witness the effect they've had in Korea!). Since their partnership began in 2007 they have taught in 23 Countries across 5 continents including North America, South America, Europe, Asia, and Australia. This weekend has been designed to let you take advantage of their short time here. There are 2 tracks - Beginner and Bootcamp. Beginners is for people who have 0-6 months of Lindy hop. In this track you can take the Open classes as well. Bootcamp is for everyone else. It's called Bootcamp because you can/should take all the classes, from Beginner to Open to Bootcamp. It really is an eyeopener to hear how Kevin and Jo approach basic concepts like connection and bounce. And if it can work for a beginner, hey it might even break and get through all those old bad habits of yours :p There are no meals provided, and the Resort is a little remote if you dont have a car. There is a nearby restaurant but if we all descend on them at the same time, the kitchen will not cope and service will be slow. In view of this , we will go cater dinner for both nights, @ S$16 per head per night. Please email [email protected] to confirm if you would like either/both Sat and Sun dinner.
